District Cub Sixer Camp 2018

This camp is for Cub Sixers who are ready to move up to Scouts.  It provides training for skills used in Scouts and is a great weekend to mix with Sixers from other groups in the District.

Activities & Skills

It will be an action packed weekend full of activities such as: Firelighting, Backwoods Cooking, Patrol Cooking, Shelter building, Putting up a Patrol Tent, First Aid, Pioneering and more!

What to Wear/Bring

Cubs should wear suitable outdoor clothing for October. This includes:

Clothing:

  • Waterproof Jacket
  • Waterproof Trousers
  • Baselayer
  • Polyester Fleece (& spare)
  • Synthetic Trousers
  • Synthetic Liner Sock
  • Hiking Socks
  • Hiking Boots / Wellies
  • Warm Hat
  • Gloves
  • Buff
  • Cub Uniform Top & Necker

In a Rucksack:

  • Water Bottle (minimum 0.5l)
  • Headtorch
  • Sleeping bag
  • Insulating Mat
  • Mug, Plate/Bowl
  • Spork/Cutlery
  • Personal First Aid Kit

Cost

Cost for the weekend includes all camping fees, material and food. Parents will need to drop their Cub off at Queen Charlottes wood.
