District 2018 Inter-Troop Shooting Competition
6th October 2018 @ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm£6.00
The Target Sports ASU are organising an inter-troop Shooting competition in preparation for the county competition in November! This is the first time this event has been run and we are super excited about the opportunity. The entrance fee is £6 per team member (£36 for a full team).
Closing date for entries is the 4th October.
All equipment will be supplied by the Target Sports ASU. This will ensure everyone will be on a level playing field.
Shooting will take place from 6 yard line. Each team (shooter) will shoot twice:
- two 5 Bull targets using PCP air rifle, 1 shot at each bull.
- two 5 Bull targets using springer air rifle, 1 shot at each bull.
The top 3 scores of the 6 team members for each rifle type will count towards the team score.
Full Details of Competition format and rules can be downloaded here: Shooting Competition
The rules will mirror those of the county competition.
The teams are made up of 6 Scouts. The age requirements on the team are:
- two participants must be aged under 12, and
- all participants must be at least 10.5 years old and under 14.5 years old.
If a Troop is unable to provide a full team of 6, then (with notice) we may be able to find additional participants to support your Troop.
Teams will be allocated to a morning or afternoon session on either the Saturday or Sunday in which their team will be due to shoot.
Team and Individual scores will be published online as the competition progresses so teams don’t have to be present for the entire competition.
