We stayed here over a very sunny three days in April 2025 with 12 Brownies, a guide, YL and adults. We had such lovely time. The site itself is well maintained with places to explore and a range of activities available to hire on site. We hired some lawn games, slack lines and a ninja course. We also made use of the campfire circle too. The Hideaway is a great place to stay with Brownies with bunk beds in rooms and a decent-sized main room for activities and eating.

We recommend and hope to be back!

Beaver Scouts from both 5th & 28th Warrington have used the Hideaway twice a year for many years and as a team of leaders we would not look anywhere else QCW has everything we need.
The Hideaway is a warm and comfortable building which has a fully equipped kitchen including a fridge. There is always plenty of hot water for washing up.
The camp circle has recently been upgraded.
The area is totally safe for outdoor activities.
We are booked to go again in Dec 22 and June 23

A great camp at Queen Charlotte's Wood

    18rowallancubs (verified owner)

Always great to stay at Queen Charlottes Wood, and now a new bunch of Cubs, Scouts and Leaders from 18th Chester know it too. It was the first time using The Hideaway, but it was so easy with plenty of room and facilities to make the stay simple to run, and I can honestly say we will be booking it again next time we stay at QCW.
