October Youth Forum Camp

Hannah our District Youth Commissioner is organising an Autumn Camp and Youth Forum at our Clogwyn Activity Centre in Bangor, North Wales. This is a great opportunity for young people to have a fun filled weekend away trying lots of activities as well as making new friends from across the District. Material and opinions from the weekend away will be used by the District Team and Executive to inform its decision making.

Who Should Attend?

The Forum is open to all youth members from Scout Troops and Explorer Scout / YL Units in the District.

We would like each:

• Scout Troop to select and send 1 representative; and
• Explorer/YL Unit to select and send 3 representatives.

Cost

The cost of the camp is £45 to cover the cost of food, travel and accommodation.

Transportation

Transportation will be provided using the two District minibuses. Please be at the District Scout Centre at ready to leave 19:00 sharp.

  • Mersey Weaver District camp 2019
  • Open session for issues raised by YP
  • Feedback on the draft District Development Plan
  • YouShape in a Box development
• Input to Cheshire County Youth Forum
  • You shaped activities
  • Mersey Weaver representatives for next County Forum

Additional Activities

As well as a youth forum element there will be a few additional activities making it an action packed weekend away including:

• Climbing on the Centre’s Climbing Wall
• A Short Hike in the nearby hills
• A Trip to the Beach with Beach Games and the possibly either the opportunity to try either Land Yachting or Cycling.
