In order to keep costs affordable for all sizes of group who want to stay in the building, we have a Per Person rate for 12 people or less. Please note there is a minimum booking of 3 people and we only accept bookings for small groups six months in advance.

Looking for a cosy place to stay near Snowdonia to bring the troops? Clogwyn is an excellent venue located in Bangor, North Wales. Originally used by the slate industry, the building has been lovingly restored by our centre managers and explorer units over many years. Close to the motorway network and a short distance from Bangor railway station it’s easy to get to. There’s plenty to do nearby with stunning and exciting mountains in Snowdonia and spectacular beaches on Anglesey both within easy driving distance.

Are you a member of the Scout Association, Girlguiding or Mersey Weaver? Then you may be eligible for a discount! Make sure you have registered an account and if required, request the appropriate membership for your role. Volunteers in Mersey Weaver must be signed in with their Scout email account to receive their discount.

Description

The Clogwyn Centre is split into two wings, Clogwyn and Penrhyn. The Centre provides accommodation for up to 36.

There are 4 dormitories in total in the main building. Each one offers bunk style beds with a mattress and pillow. No bedding is provided so sleeping bags required.

Snowdon 17 Beds

There are 2 dormitories in total in the Penrhyn building. Each one offers bunk style beds with a mattress and pillow. No bedding is provided so sleeping bags required.

Features

  • Dining Room with 6 tables.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with industrial size cooker, grill, large fridge and warming oven. There is a separate freezer in the foyer. All cooking pots, utensils, crockery and cutlery provided. Please provide your own cleaning materials and tea towels.
  • Separate Male and female toilets. Showers.
  • Additional Toilet on the first floor.
  • Gas cooking, water supply and storage heating
  • All bunks have mattresses. (No bedding is supplied)
