Bridging the Gap – Neurodiversity Webinar
Join us for an insightful and practical webinar dedicated to empowering Scout volunteers with the knowledge and tools to support young people with neurodiversity. “Neurodiversity – Supporting Children and Young People in Scouts”, is part of our “Bridging the Gap” series, designed to foster inclusivity and understanding within the Scouting community. The project has been initiated by our District Youth Shape Team.
The webinar is being hosted by our District Youth Leads, Grace Wheeler and Ethan Finlay in partnership with Dr. Kate Knight from the University of Chester and Kathryn Alexander from the NHS Central Cheshire Integrated Partnership (both of whom are Scout leaders themselves). This session will explore:

- Practical Tips and Strategies: Learn effective techniques to create an inclusive environment that accommodates the unique needs of neurodiverse Scouts.
- Real-Life Scenarios: Discuss common challenges and solutions through real-life examples and case studies.
- Resource Sharing: Discover valuable resources and tools that can aid in supporting neurodiverse individuals within your Scout group.
Led by experts in neurodiversity and experienced Scout leaders, this webinar aims to bridge the knowledge gap and equip you with actionable strategies to ensure every young person can thrive in Scouts.
