Tale of the abandoned Scout Camp….

The Mersey Weaver World Scout Jamboree contingent invite you to a spooky trail with a host of Halloween activities for groups across the district.

The event will be held at Queen Charlottes Wood during the week of the 1st  to  4th November. Each night we have slots available for small groups of young people, who will start the trail at allocated timed 10min intervals between 6pm and 7pm. Groups will navigate their way around our haunted (but not so scary for little ones) abandoned campsite.

The way we would like to run this event is for the groups to bring their young people to the event along with leaders to help chaperone your young people.

The trail will take around 50-60 minutes and the cost per person will be £5 each.

Competitions

• For those crafty, we will be running a daily competition for the best pre-carved pumpkin.  Bring your own pumpkin, pre-carved at home to show off your skills.

• For those who like to get dressed up, we will be running a daily fancy dress competition.
  • • • • Prizes for the daily winner, and overall winner
• Prize winners will be awarded at their colony/pack/troop night by a member of the contingent.

Notes

• This event will be ran in all weathers so please dress accordingly.  In areas where we are running a craft activity, there will be shelter however the majority of the event will be in the open air.
• It is imperative to ensure the success of the event that the whole group arrive ten minutes prior to your designated start time.
• At the start/finish, refreshments and tuck shop will available if leaders and young people want to bring any spending money.
