District Explorer Summer Camp 2023

£150.00We are delighted to invite you to join us at our Mersey Weaver District Explorer Summer Camp 2023
The camp will take place in indoor accommodation based out of our fabulous Clogwyn Activity Centre in Bangor, North Wales enabling us to offer our Explorers an incredible camp at an affordable price and get our Explorers (and leaders) enjoying the very best that Scouts and Mersey Weaver has to offer!
The cost will be £150 per Explorer for the whole week.
This includes food, activities, accommodation and transport there and back.

- Raftbuilding 🪢
- Stand up paddle boarding 💦

- Mountain Bikes 🚴
- Hillwalking Expedition with overnight camp 🏔️
Drop off and collection at Mersey Weaver Scout Centre, Moor Lane, Frodsham WA6 7DD.
Please bring a packed lunch.
Kit list:
- Sleeping bag
- Roll mat
- Pillow
- Nightwear
- Wash kit including toothbrush
- Hand towel
- Bath towel
- Comfortable footwear for round the building
- Rucksack, with a waterproof liner (substitute, Heavy duty bin bag)
- Waterproof Jacket
- Waterproof Trousers
- Fleece Jacket
- Trainers
- Swimming costume
- Clothes suitable for water activities, wet suit and cag top if you have one
- Old shoes/Wet shoes, to get wet in.
- Walking socks
- Walking boots
- Activity trousers, NOT JEANS
- Thermals, if you have them
- Plenty of warm clothing, plus spares
- Jumpers
- T-shirts
- Personnel first aid kit
- Hat
- Gloves
- Water bottle
- Flask, NOT GLASS
- Torch, plus spare batteries
- Sun glasses
- Sun protection

We feel very strongly that Scouting is about everyone being able to learn skills for life and have fun. In Mersey Weaver we would never want a young person to miss out due to the cost. If you’re at all concerned about covering the cost of our membership fee or any activities, please speak to one of the leaders in confidence. There are many ways we can support you.
