The District has a bike trailer based at Clogwyn, available to loan to Explorer Units and Scout Groups. Need it back in Cheshire? Just give us at least 4 weeks’ notice.

Are you a member of the Scout Association, Girlguiding or Mersey Weaver? Then you may be eligible for a discount! Make sure you have registered an account and if required, request the appropriate membership for your role. Volunteers in Mersey Weaver must be signed in with their Scout email account to receive their discount.

Before booking or towing the trailer, you must ensure that you are legally permitted and appropriately covered to do so.

The person towing the trailer is responsible for ensuring that:

  • They hold the appropriate driving licence for the vehicle and trailer combination.
  • The towing vehicle is suitable and legally permitted to tow the trailer.
  • They have the appropriate insurance cover in place.
  • The vehicle and trailer comply with all relevant legal requirements.
  • The trailer is correctly connected and secured before travelling.
